"The Cottage" was built circa 1907 to provide "luxury" accommodations for the hotel operated in the neighboring home, together known as Sunshine Farm. The owner had postcards printed in Germany depicting the Sunshine Farm, its views, and scenes around Queechy Lake and Canaan. The cards' messages tell of happy times shared by visitors to the property and the lake.
